Easy Cooking Chinese food – Salt and Pepper Boneless Spareribs

Who doesn’t love Chinese food? I guess almost everybody have their own cravings of some Asian dish that we tried in the restaurants and wondering why not just make it on our own. Today I will share you my own recipe of the famous Salt and Pepper Boneless Pork Spareribs. Yum!

INGREDIENTS:
2 1/2 pounds boneless meaty pork spareribs
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup five-spice marinade ( preferably Lee Kumkee)
3 to 4 cups oil for deep-frying, or as needed
5 tablespoons cornstarch or tempura mix, or as needed

PREPARATION:

Mix five-spice marinade with the salt and pepper for marinate. Marinate 2 1/2 pounds of boneless pork spareribs ( cut into cubes or as is) for and hour. After an hour, preheat the oil for deep-frying to between 360 and 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Cover evenly the spareribs with the cornstarch as needed. Use a deep-fryer basket or just carefully add the ribs into the boiling oil. Deep-fry the spareribs for 6 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain. Serve while hot with fried rice or steam rice. Enjoy!

I would recommend to cut the spareribs into smaller pieces so that the meat will cook evenly. Sometimes when the meat is too thick, it will result into a “not so tender” meat at all.
